WORKSHOPS TIMETABLE

WORKSHOP VENUES: The Saturday classes will take place at DANCE HOUSE, Foley Street, Dublin 1. The Sunday Folklore Day will take place at the Garda Club, 8 Harrington St, Dublin 8

IMPORTANT: for the Saturday classes, please wear suede or leather-soled shoes. Runners or rubber-soled shoes are not allowed in the studios!

SATURDAY 5 SEPTEMBER TANGO WORKSHOPS

a) 12noon-1pm –General technique for Leader & Follower. Building blocks to achieve quality of movement –All levels

b) 1pm-2.30pm-Understanding Vals rhythmical structure, marking simple & double-time. Vals combinations and tools for improvisation - Intermediate & advanced

c) 2.45pm-4.15pm- Understanding Milonga musicality, correct marking of the double-time. Milonga combinations and tools for improvisation - Intermediate & Advanced

d) 4.30pm-6pm Adornos for leader & follower, Finales (endings) & Variations -Intermediate & Advanced

[Note: If you are not sure about your level, please ask!

The teachers will propose combinations with variations to suit different levels from intermediate to Advanced]

SUNDAY 6 SEPTEMBER FOLK DANCES DAY (BREAKFAST+WORKSHOP+FIESTA)

Time: 12noon-5pm

· 12noon-1pm Traditional Argentinean desayuno (breakfast)

· 1-3pm Folk Dances Workshop (various dances: chacarera, gato, carnavalito)

· 3-5pm Fiesta de Folklore: gaucho’s style club ! J

· PACKAGE A) 2 tango classes+ Folk Dances Day = €90

· PACKAGE B) 3 tango classes + Saturday night event ´Luna de Arrabal´=€110

· PACKAGE C) (4 Tango Classes+ Folk Dances day+ free entrance to Saturday night event´Luna De Arrabal´)=only €170!!!

TERMS & CONDITIONS

a) Full payment is required when submitting your registration form. If you live outside Ireland, registration form and proof of payment can be emailed to tangofever_ireland@yahoo.com

b) The last date to register is the 24^th of August. Registrations after this date are only possible if you register with a partner.

c) Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer (see registration form for details)

d) Cancellations are only possible until the 24^rd of August. We will not be able to refund the money for any cancellation made after this date.

e) The number of people per class is limited. Please make sure you register well in advance to secure a place.

f) If you wish to register with a partner, please indicate this in the registration form. If you do not have a partner, we find one for you (if you register before the 24^rd of August). NOTE: Registrations submitted after the 24 August will only be accepted if you register with a partner

e) Updates on workshops and festival events will be posted on our website www.tangofever.net

PRIVATE CLASSES with Oscar & Laura

Oscar & Laura will be giving private classes on Sunday the 6^th of September, in the evening time.

The cost of the class is €100 per couple per hour. The price includes studio hire.

To book, please call 086-3747958. Deposit of €30 required for booking. Classes will take place in a city centre venue.

Note: availability is for 3 couples only. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
