Gathering is at the Victorian bandstand (close to Harcourt Street entrance). We warm up our heart and feet to the greatest tango tunes specially selected for us by DJ Johan.. and then get swept away by the wonderful voice of tango singer and guitarist Javier Criado, who has prepared a very special repertoire for the Festival. Virtuoso violinist Roberta Miano will make her first official appearance in the Dublin tango scene!
[Note: The event will take place in the sheltered bandstand. So we will be there, rain or shine! ]

The documentary illustrates the most remarkable moments of Tango history. Dancers, musicians, poets and historians share their most intimate thoughts and experiences about tango. You will discover their quest for passion and sensuality that goes beyond ethnicity, race and national borders. You will explore the history of the dance from its African roots through the "Golden Years" in the early 1900’s and beyond. A gripping blend of history, romance, and music that will appeal to tangueros as well as newcomers.
